Why do I need to pump my septic tank?
Over time the tank fills up
with undigested food particles, oils and fats.
The tank is designed to keep these waste products in the septic tank until they break down.
But it isn't a perfect system.
Occasionally you do need to remove this undigested material.
If you don't pump your tank small particulate matter begins to flow out of the tank into your drainfield.
Over time these particles clog up the drainfield.
And then you need a new drainfield.
